discover our roots and our vision

We started fàs (pronounced “feeas”) as we became more and more aware of the impact of climate change on food production.  The UK imports over 60% of its food.  The climate is going to impact on our ability to produce our needs.  But our main reason for starting this community interest company was our kids.  We wanted them to have a connection with the soil and learn, at least the basics, of sustainable and resilient food production and other sustainable practices.  We expanded this idea and felt that the local community could also benefit from our journey.

our core values

We are guided by our founding values on all the decisions that we make.

organic – we want all our produce to be chemical free.  We believe that chemically grown food is damaging our biodiversity and leading to an increase in illness.

regenerative – every action we take, has to regenerate either our soil, our biodiversity, us, our volunteers, our community or our thinking.

inclusive – regardless of skill level you’re welcome here.

sustainable – we ask ourselves if our actions lead to a sustainable lifestyle for us, our volunteers and our community.

fun – life is a journey of many ups and downs.  We believe we should enjoy that journey.  So we’ll have fun, maybe sing, might even dance a little silly dance.  Smiling is good for you.
